Finn versus the Second Hand and Other Stories

When we first got Finnegan, I was a little worried about him.

He’s an attention whore, as exhibited in the photo below.

Finn likes to get up to high places, and flip on his back to look at the world upside down while he blinks at you. I can never catch him in the act because he’s so squirmy, so this is the closest I got. You can encourage him to do it by speaking to him in a high pitched voice and telling him he looks adorable. He already knows he is–so he tries to fall off the high place by being super squirmy while he’s up there trying even harder to look cute because you’re telling him he is.

It’s a viscous cycle.

I was sitting on the couch the other day, and noticed that Finn was staring intently at the clock on one of our shelves. This clock has been sitting there for about 3 months now, but he must have just noticed it. The second hand was moving. Finny couldn’t take it. He had to investigate.

(Please ignore said high pitched voice…apparently my voice is like this most of the time)

Evil minute hand!

Our boys are such great company. They’re funny and smart, and always interested in what you’re doing. I miss Tater every day, but I’m also glad to have these little boys in our life.

We (Thorin, Finn and I) also watched Discovery take off from our window while I was cleaning the bedroom. I’m disappointed that I didn’t tilt the iPhone camera, but I still think it’s cool that I got it on video.

Thorin thought it was pretty cool too. 🙂
