Life, Work

Exhaustion and other stories

Work has been crazy, and I’m exhausted. I’ve actually just been sitting here during my lunch break thinking, “I’m so tired. When will this day end? Why didn’t I go to bed earlier?”

I need some intravenous caffeine, stat!

We had a major awards banquet last Thursday, a 800 person meeting with our president on Monday morning, leaving for a conference tonight, come back on Friday night, and then I’m working an event on Saturday. Sunday is Mother’s Day, and I’ll hopefully be driving to Melbourne to see my family (if I can drag myself out of bed…I’ll definitely be sleeping in!).

The short of it is that I’m physically and mentally exhausted, and can’t wait for Sunday, even though I’m looking forward to the best communications conference ever.

Peter scheduled his biopsy for May 12, so I’m nervous/excited for that. They are putting him under, so I’ll be at the hospital with him. I’m glad we’ll get some more information, but hate that he has to go through a biopsy.

The Church of Latter Day Saints opened up their census records, which is awesome for me! I’ve been able to trace our family back to the first generation Americans who came from Ireland.  I also found out I had a great great great great great great aunt that died from exhaustion, but I can’t figure out exactly what that means. Make sure to check it out if you have the chance, it’s cool to find out random facts like that about your family!
