At the risk
of sounding…uninformed, and despite the fact that I emailed Adinah to find out what was going on, I still don’t understand what’s going on between Israel and Lebanon. Usually I’m not up on world news, but I think that because Adinah is in Israel, it concerns me, so I want to keep tabs on it. Make sure nothing happens to Adinah, just like when the London bombings happened and I was frantically emailing Thomass and Musa and Henk. So anyways, Adinah, can you explain to me how this all started again?
It’s the weekend, and t oday I’m hanging around here at work, then Howl at the Moon tonight with the coworkers, then no big plans this weekend aside from hanging out with Pete, and going shopping with Elizabeth and Amy, which will be fun. Hopefully I don’t spend any money. I’ve been trying to stay away from the mall, but you know how that goes.
And Jessica FINALLY gave me her schedule, so I’m going to visit her August 11-12. Woohoo!
Yay! Lindsay is coming to visit me 🙂
This may be a little long. Thanks for keeping tabs on me. First, I’m in Jerusalem and right now, it’s safe here. This all started about two weeks when Hezbollah started firing rockets over the border into northern Israel. The rockets hit two vehicles, killing eight soldiers and then they kidnapped another two. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Since then, we have been bombing southern Lebanon, hitting the main points of Hezbollah and getting rid of the group. A lot of people do not agree with the actions but Lebanon hadn’t taken care of it since 2000. Does that help?
