Fifteen Minutes

So I leave here in fifteen minutes and I figured that if I’m going to start a new blog, I need to actually post in it. I think I’ve forgotten how to post. I’m reading my first few LJ entries and they’re all about my day and etc etc but nothing that interesting happens to me during the day anymore. Sometimes there’s a birthday and we all stand in a circle and read the cards that the people get, or one of my "cavemates" shoots rubberbands at me but that’s about it.

I’m "importing" all of my old LJ entries if you haven’t noticed, one by one, because I’m tired of LJ. I want something more powerful, so here I am on Typepad. Work is slow because our latest project has gone to press and in the time between the random little things people give me to do, I import. There is no real way to import, which pisses me off because SixApart owns LJ now, so you would think that they would make life easy.

Things in the apartment are coming along. I’ve been painting after work, finally got some new switchplates and will have to go to Lowes to get some more. Tonight I’m taking my coworker’s wife to The Dessert Lady. They moved here not too long ago, and she doesn’t know many people and is only two years older than me. Should be fun, and there will be amazing dessert involved, so how can you pass that up?

I miss my girl friends, who are dispersed in places that are not here. Fuf doesn’t know but I checked flights to visit her and got one back from Continental at $103. I went to book it and of course it’s all sold out. I’d like to see Kelly too, but flights to Atlanta are expensive! I’m getting excited about the wedding, though, hopefully Jon and Larry will be there, Pete can hang out with them, and I’ll get to see my pseudo fam. Anyways, done for now.
