The beginning of life after college, life in new cities, grad school, marriages. Somehow I feel like they’re joining me finally. Friday night was the last tennis club banquet for Brent, Jessica, and I. We gave Brent an award for all of his work, plus a few other goodies. He found out I gave Mandy "The Book" (haha!) and I got to say congratulations to him finally. As I was leaving he said, "So this it, isn’t it? Now we’re in the real world." I replied, "Yeah. But at least we’re all in it together."

I am so lucky that I have a group of people that I was able to grow up with. Now that Brent, Jessica, Cristin, and Heather are graduating, I don’t feel so lost in all of this.

But I am going to do what I can to keep them all in Orlando. Aside from Jess, because she’s already been offered her dream job.

Which just means there will be a girl’s trip to Miami, and that’s fine by me.

So my weekend was pretty busy and eventful, and included my first time downtown. I was DD and didn’t take any shots with everyone else, but I still had a good time. I also learned it wasn’t really my scene, and although I’d go again, I’d rather be able to drink. I’m going to I-Bar with Cristin next weekend and I have a feeling I’m going to feel a little more comfortable hanging out there. I still don’t understand how people can do it every weekend, but then again, drinking was never really my thing.

Marissa needs to turn 21 so she can go and not dance with me, haha!

For a few of my friends, it’s the end and the beginning of so many things.
