Every time I go to Groveland, it makes me sad. I don’t know what my deal is with missing Papa these days, but I do, and going to Groveland and seeing the place where the tore his house down makes me sad anyway. <\/p>\n

But, this was a cool thing that Pete and I went to go do. I think I already wrote about the Groveland Historical Society, and how they’re going to be making a museum. We went to go paint on Saturday, and unfortunately it’s the only Saturday I can help at all this month. I’m traveling\/busy until the end of May. But that’s not the point. So we volunteered, painted, etc etc.<\/p>\n

<\/a>  Now the museum is a nice “linen” color, and hopefully they’ll be able to get it ready by the time they have their annual reunion. <\/p>\n

And here is a cool story. This totally made my day. Before my grandfather died, I was helping him get replacements for his military medals. I was talking to one of the women about my family name, and she said that one of the town councilman was wandering around the woods for whatever reason, and found a purple heart. The name on the purple heart was J. Ray Arnold. That’s my Papa! He lost that purple heart a long time ago, I don’t even know how long ago, and now I might get it back!!!<\/p>\n

Stupid or not, being close to Groveland and where my family came from makes me feel like I’ve come back home, to where my family was supposed to be in the first place. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
