My dad pulled a muscle, and now might have a staph infection, so I think the real reason might be that I want to hear from my mom to hear what the doctor says.

My dad should be invincible, in my opinion. I can handle a cold, or even the flu, but the thought of him being in pain makes me nauseous.

The weekend was good, but short. Saw the parents in Satellite Beach, and saw my grandma. Pete and I are making "breakthroughs" (his word, not mine!) in communication, and figuring out that we really do see a lot of things differently. Like why a big 7-11 sign isn’t a good landmark for the turn to get to my grandma’s house, and how he thinks that saying, "Look for the big 7-11 sign" could mean any large sign, including a billboard. I think he’s crazy, but at least we’ve figured out why he can’t follow my directions!

I am sooo looking forward to Thanksgiving. Leelee and I are going to Savannah, and I am ready for a relaxing break with more than a two day weekend and my little cuz!

The living together thing is going pretty well so far, aside from our perpetual messiness. I think we’ve been pretty good, but being gone the last three weekends has made it hard to concentrate on putting the rest of Pete’s stuff away. It’s really not that much different than it was, and I don’t really feel like I’m starving for alone time or anything. I do keep calling it "my place" rather than "our place", but it’s just habit. I really miss DVR, and thought we might get one when he moved in, but we haven’t yet, and I know I really don’t need it. I can’t believe that it’s almost November, and our parents are meeting next month. Crazy.

Wedding what not is good, there isn’t much to do between now and Christmas. I think I found the favors we’ll use, and I have to email the girls to get dress sizes and credit card numbers so that they can order their dresses. Fuf is here this weekend so thats cool cuz I haven’t seen her since her wedding. Cristin isn’t moving til March, so I have to get her and Leelee together to figure out logistics of bridal shower/bachelorette party before she leaves. Planning a wedding is crazy. I can see why people get a coordinator, because essentially you are managing a small group of people to make one event come together. And then there’s the whole, "well we want the event to reflect us" and "but it’s only one day". But I really do want the day to be fun for everyone, and for everyone to have a good time, and for it to be a chance for us to show everyone what we’re made of. But an unlimited budget would make that a lot easier, like palm-leaf totes for the out of town bags. Oh, the boring details. 🙂

Pete listens to to "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap all the time, and that is the only part that gets stuck in my head.
