I just spend the last six hours following around a bunch of high school students with our company photographer. They all looked so young! The school sent me one kid who was on the school paper. I'm not sure if I was much help to him or not. He was shadowing me, and he wants to be a sports writer. That's all good and fun, but I hope that he has been paying attention to the way things are going with the newspapers. I made him use my tape recorder to interview a few groups of kids, and he did a pretty good job with that. It's a little intimidating to walk up to a group of strangers and ask if you can record their thoughts, but he handled it well. I've gotten used to it, so nothing really bothers me anymore. <\/p>\n

This weekend, Pete and I are heading over to Bradenton for my cousin Justin's wedding bbq. He has been away for the last year and a half, so it will be good to see him and the fam. My mom is driving up with my grandma, and I'm glad we'll get to be with them on Mother's Day. After we have breakfast with them, we are heading over to Pete's mom's place to see his fam. All in all, a very busy weekend. Very glad that I have tonight and tomorrow off, so I can get some laundry done and spend some QT with the hubby!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
