I put my two weeks in today, which was exciting, because I’m happy to be free of this job with the crazy weird hours and staying late because the football games and the press not running. <\/p>\n

So I’m happy and excited about that. It feels like a move in the right direction. <\/p>\n

And in 2006 things are going to change. I will be financially independent, and okay because of this new job. I am going to do what I want, when I want, no matter what other people say. Everyone seems to have an opinion on my life and the things are going on in it, and I’m done with the unsolicited advice. I appreciate the fact that people try to look out for me, but if I mess up, I mess up. No one gets it right the first time. Life is about trial and error, and in college I learned to own up to my feelings and the outcome of decisions I’ve made. I’m a big girl. Really. I can take care of myself.<\/p>\n

So begins my life as a single-as-in-never-married-but-in-a-relationship-adult-with-a-real-9-5-job-and-enough-money-to-be-on-her-own. I can’t wait to see how the story ends.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
