{"id":111,"date":"2004-11-25T08:36:00","date_gmt":"2004-11-25T08:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lindsaykeegan.com\/blog1\/2004\/11\/25\/happy-turkey-day\/"},"modified":"2004-11-25T08:36:00","modified_gmt":"2004-11-25T08:36:00","slug":"happy-turkey-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lindsaykeegan.com\/blog\/2004\/11\/25\/happy-turkey-day\/","title":{"rendered":"happy turkey day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>so its 8:30 in the am and i&#8217;m awake, and no one else in my house is.<br \/>\nthe cousins are asleep, my parents are asleep, my sis is still asleep<br \/>\n(surprise surprise, she can be quite the little sleeper). and i am<br \/>\nawake. because i don&#8217;t sleep well here, because my room in orlando is<br \/>\nnow really my room, and more like my home thank here is in its own way.<\/p>\n<p>culture shock about being in mia: went to kmart to get some shampoo and<br \/>\nwhat not, and i was looking for something silly to get my grandma. so i<br \/>\nwas lookin for the silly cheap toy aisle like they have at walmart, and<br \/>\nfiguring that it would be around the same place as the rubik&#8217;s cube, i<br \/>\nstop an associate and ask her where the rubik&#8217;s cubes are. she looks at<br \/>\nme, puzzled, and replies, &#8220;que?&#8221; no english. none at all. i just said<br \/>\nthanks and walked away. welcome to miami, yo. <\/p>\n<p>and i am huuuuuuuuuungry!<\/p>\n<p>things that i am thankful for, in light of lizbeth&#8217;s list (which was very cool and well written by the way hehe):<\/p>\n<p>1. the fact that this semester is almost over, and that i somehow<br \/>\nmanaged to trudge my way through it, despite the fact that i didn&#8217;t<br \/>\nthink i could survive another six months. <br \/>\n2. the fam, of course.<br \/>\n3. the b\/f, because he&#8217;s way cool, and &#8220;peter&#8221;
