An Open Letter to David Krug (and why he’s the reason I couldn’t pay my mortgage last month)
Dear David Krug,
I really appreciated receiving your Naymz Reputation Assessment email. Why? Because I know you are still alive. Even though you have apparently disappeared off of the face of the earth, you still have the balls to send me some social network invitation.
Just to explain to the rest of the world: David Krug owes me $880 for blogging at www.gradschooljournal.com, and www.prefabjournal.com over the month of February. As soon as the time came to pay, David Krug disappeared, blocking me on AIM, even though he knew that I am currently unemployed and had to report that income. Even though I have sent him emails and invoices, asking for the money politely, reminding him that if I didn’t get paid, I COULD NOT PAY MY MORTGAGE. That was what the unemployment check was supposed to go to. That is what the money I earned from him was supposed to pay for.
So, David, you are apparently all over the internet. I know you are on Twitter, and have a bunch of blogs. I know other people have had problems with you and payments. I should have Googled you before, but apparently I’m to trusting.
I just want to thank you for making a tough time even tougher. And I would also like you to know that I am in the process of reporting you. I need that money. I don’t understand how a man who promised me he was legit could turn around and screw me over like that.
Please just pay me the $880 so we can be done with this.
Sincerely,
Lindsay
Have you heard from David yet? I’m having the same problem with payment. I’ve emailed him about, I don’t know, 100 times . . . yet, he’s still on twitter and was still updating krug.tv (which is down today). I commented on there, but he never removed it from moderation. I’m frustrated. I could’ve been working for someone who would PAY between Feb. 7th and April 9th. 🙁 Sorry, I’m babbling . . . I’ve been googling to see if anyone else has been screwed and you were the first I came across.
