Oh dear blog,
How I’ve been neglecting you. I’ve just been so busy with getting back on an east coast schedule, tennis, work, unpacking, installing programmable thermostats, that I just haven’t gotten around to updating you.
In all actuality, work has been really hectic for me, so there hasn’t been much time. That, coupled with a “warning” of sorts about my internet usage, has forced me to be limited in my blogging.
There’s really nothing to say about San Jose, except that I supposedly wrote and published two blogs from my Palm Pilot while I was there, which I guess I’ll mess with getting on here now. The only big things that happened were rain and more rain. And I saw snow at the Denver airport, but only from a distance.
But TODAY was a big shopping day for Pete and I, because we went to Lowe’s, my new favorite place, and I bought a programmable thermostat. And before he went to work I said, “I’m going to install this tonight.” He replied, “Let’s see how that goes.” So I set to work, right after he left, and read the instructions, and did all the wiring, and went back to Lowe’s to get electrical tape, and finished the wiring.
Then I put the front cover on, and voila! I have a thermostat that is programmed for different times of the day, every day of the week! And look what Denis Pete has waiting for him when he gets home:
Don’t underestimate the power of an Arnold/Strong woman! Obviously, I’m very proud of this whole thermostat thing. 🙂
And for some clutter:
One of the reasons I hate winter is because EVERYTHING shocks me. My car, the light switches, etc etc etc. It doesn’t matter what I touch, if it’s metal, I get a shock. I wonder if that happens to some people more than others, but I hate it.
It’s also very cold for Orlando, and I have the heat on (set to 65, a comfortable sleeping temperature when you’re all snuggled up with the Tater in bed). I hate the cold anyway, and I’m glad that by the time I have tennis next week it will have warmed up.
And Sazzers and I have like less than two months til the cruise. So excited! I definitely need a vacation. Now I need to go be productive and fold laundry though, so hopefully you’ll be seeing some back dated postings from my trip soon.
