Dewey Donation System
Hello all.
I love books. And I love to help out other people. For the last three years, Pamela Ribbon has conducted an online book drive through Amazon to help out needy libraries. Last year, Louisiana and Mississippi were both hit by hurricane Katrina, and it resulted in damage to several of the libraries. Like the library is gone, or the library has no more books because it was flooded out. Reading helps communities. A library is a place to learn, come together as a community, and grow. This year, Pamie.com‘s book drive has turned into the Dewey Donation System, and is benefiting a few of the libraries hit hardest by Katrina. Check out the website. It will link you to Amazon, where you’ll see a library’s wish list. Buy a book, and it will be sent directly to the library. Two of the libraries’ wish lists have already been cleared, and the site has only been up a few days. More books will come up on the wish lists. Be part of something that will make a difference to a group of people who have suffered immensely over the last year.
