Hello, world, I have arrived!

After four months of sleepless nights, a countless amount of recycled babble about American poets and Sylvia Plath, and a horrible dependency on afternoon naps and caffeine, I AM FINISHED!

My last final has been taken, graduation is on Monday, and then I will have nothing to do but work. Which is really weird. Because even now, I’m here, at work, wondering what assignment I’m missing. I feel like I should be doing something. All of the internet surfing I did while procrastinating isn’t as fun now that I have nothing to do.

Schedule of events for graduation:

Monday
Graduation, 10 AM UCF Arena.
Brio with assorted family and friends, 12:30 p.m. Winter Park Villiage
Howl at the Moon, 9 p.m. I-Drive

Tuesday
Work

Wednesday
Cocoa with Marissa and Jessica until Friday. Supposedly it’s going to be cold next week, but I’m hoping it will warm up.

Friday
Work, then driving to Miami

Sunday
Jen’s wedding

Thursday
Driving home, then a surprise date with Denis Pete 🙂

So I’m excited. I’m getting some much deserved time off I believe.

As for other things, between paying for rent, cell phone, Tater’s pet insurance (I’ve tried to justify not having it but I can’t. If something happens to her then I won’t be able to afford for her to get treated), my meds, my psych, and my counselor, I have $70 left over for groceries. PER MONTH. Freaking depression. Oh yeah, and gas. I alloted myself $25 a week, but I don’t think that will last long. At least around here I can ride my bike/walk.

This means that I cut out TV, internet, and Vonage. I did keep Netflix, because I have to have something.

No internet makes me sad. I live on the internet.

A second job might be in order.

And today at work has been fairly interesting. A guy from London called and wanted to use an article in our paper for a TV show so I talked to him and thought about Henk and Thomas. Then one of our copy editors picked up his phone and said, “I’m a great grandfather?!” and the newsroom applauded. Then someone from the Mitch Album show called and wanted to interview Willoughby (whose name I love, by the way) for his show. At least the Sentinel is never boring!
