What is it that makes us afraid of men? At work, there is a man who has been making comments to me, and then I caught him taking a picture of me on his camera phone. I told my boss. At school, a girl I know was asked to go for a drink by a male professor. She won’t tell him yes or no because she’s afraid for her grade.
I don’t get it. As a woman, no man should have the power to make me feel the way I did when I caught the guy at work taking a picture of me when he thought I didn’t know it. So now I’m taking care of it. But why not call out the professor? Why give him the ability to make you feel awkward, uncomfortable, and afraid?
